Visualization specialist Barco has released a new line of LED light source rear projection video wall displays. Based on years of experience in R&D and manufacturing of LED displays, Barco has developed a full HD (1920x1080) LED video wall system. In addition to the significant advantages of LED rear-projection technology (such as low maintenance and saturated colors), the Barco OL video wall series features unique Sense6 color calibration and stabilization technology, so video walls can truly achieve 24/7 use.

The Barco LED projection range includes post-maintenance OL and pre-maintained OLF video walls. At the current stage, both 50-inch and 70-inch screen sizes are available, all with an outstanding ergonomic viewing experience and the sharpest, most saturated full HD resolution colors. OL and OLF video walls have an LED wide color gamut that exceeds the EBU standard and will not produce color separation anyway.
The OL and OLF video walls are designed for years of maintenance-free operation, guaranteeing 55,000 hours of LED life and 5 years of maintenance-free uptime. No consumables are required, such as a color wheel or a mercury lamp. The OL and OLF video wall systems feature embedded Sense6 sensor technology for true maintenance-free operation. As demonstrated by the current OV-D2 product line, Sense6 provides long-lasting brightness and stability across the entire video wall display. Sense6 technology continuously measures brightness and color and adjusts the color space to provide the most suitable image for the human eye. Therefore, no maintenance or manual adjustment is required.
The projection module is shallower, so the OL and OLF video walls are ideal for space-constrained installations. In addition, the OLF projection module can be maintained from the front. The rugged design of the video wall is ideal for industrial environments.
OL and OLF video walls are easy to install with advanced lightweight materials and pre-calibrated delivery technology. After installation, Sense6 automatically adapts all projection modules to compensate for the inherent color shift of the LED during its lifetime. In addition, Barco's control management software tracks operational status, allowing users to easily configure uniformity and operational status. The software provides an application programming interface (API) that can be integrated into large device management applications.
In addition to the new OL video wall series, Barco will also retain the existing OV-D2 product line, which is ahead of existing LED projection wall products.
