Recently, Cree introduced the XLamp XHP50.2 LED, which provides 7% more lumens and 10% light output (LPW) compared to the first generation XHP50 LED in the same 5.0mm x 5.0mm package. The new XHP50.2 LED enables lighting manufacturers to quickly improve the performance of existing XHP50 lighting designs. The XHP50.2 is capable of producing more than 2,500 lumens of luminous flux from its 6mm light-emitting surface (LES), reducing the size and cost of new designs and providing the best innovative solution for applications from existing street lighting.
Arianna's R&D manager Lorenzo Trevisanello said: "Arianna agrees with Cree's vision that LEDs should not compromise quality or performance and should provide a better lighting experience in all respects. "Our goal is to achieve the best with the most efficient LEDs. Cost-effective and versatile. Thanks to the lumen density and proven reliability of the XHP50.2LED, we are able to further drive the performance and size range of our products, even at temperature and drive current.
In addition to enhanced light output and power efficiency, XHP50.2 LEDs provide maximum illumination intensity through secondary optics, providing portable lighting manufacturers with a better lighting experience. The XHP50.2 LED provides immediate LM-80 data, reducing the time required for ENERGY STAR certification.
According to Dave Emerson, senior vice president and general manager of Cree LED, "Curry has redefined the performance of high-power LEDs and introduced the industry's first ultra-high-power LEDs." With the industry's best lumen density and reliability, Cree's The XHPLED family enables our customers to achieve performance levels not possible with other LEDs in a variety of applications with the lowest total system cost. With the introduction of XHP50.2, Cree continues to redefine the possibilities of high-performance LEDs.
Using Cree's patented EasyWhite technology to provide the industry's best color consistency, the XLampXHP50.2 LED is available for 2700-6500K with high CRI options. Product samples are available now and can be mass-produced to standard delivery times.
Cree's product line includes LED lighting systems and bulbs, blue and green LED chips, high-brightness LEDs, lighting-grade power LEDs, power switchgear and RF equipment. Cree's products are driving improvements in applications such as general lighting, electronic signage and signals, power supplies and inverters. (ALLEN YIN/Compile)
