OFweek Semiconductor Lighting Network May 11th: US LED chip maker Cree has announced that its white LED light efficiency has exceeded 231lm/W, breaking the industry's highest light efficiency record, and said it will continue to carry out technological innovation on this record. Promote the development of LED lighting business.
Cree said that a single module component was used, and the white LED efficacy was measured at 231 lm/W at a color temperature of 4500 K and a standard test chamber temperature of 350 mA.
In 2010, Cree's white LED light efficiency exceeded 200lm/W, which was considered to be the highest light efficiency in the field of LED lighting, and has now reached 231lm/W. John Edmond, one of Cree's founders, said the innovation is the foundation for LED light efficiency in the industry and is a major part of Cree's continued leadership in the LED lighting revolution.
Cree said the innovative technology can be applied to Cree XLamp white LEDs and its efficacy is enhanced. Cree believes that high-performance LEDs can drive LEDs in new applications and reduce LED solution design costs.
Cree further stated that the technology has not been applied to Cree's LED product line, but Cree will continue to expand its high-performance LED product line and continue to lead the industry.
