Hong Kong manufacturer nokero releases the world's first solar LED light

Recently, Hong Kong manufacturer nokero released the solar-powered LED bulb Nokero N100, known as the world's first solar LED lamp.

The Nokero N100 is roughly the same size as a standard incandescent bulb, with a diameter of 70mm and a height of 125mm. Its waterproof plastic case is equipped with 4 small solar panels, 5 LEDs and a replaceable NiMH battery. The Nokero N100 has a battery life of 2-3 years and a solar panel life of 5 years.

This solar bulb is available for four hours when fully charged and is generally available for two hours after a day of sun exposure. Of course, the specific charging situation is also affected by the weather, season and latitude, and the charging condition is better in the area closer to the equator.

Since some old areas still use old kerosene lamps, Nokero has now extended the solar bulbs to some countries in Africa. Compared to kerosene lamps, the Nokero N100 can reduce CO2 emissions by 550 pounds per year. Although it is not clear about its specific brightness, Nokero says its brightness is five times that of kerosene lamps, and its energy consumption is one-hundredth of the latter. .
