In January 2010, the revenue of LED Taiwanese factories remained good. The revenues of Jingdian and Yiguang in January were all higher than those in December 2009. The wire frame factory has a good performance in Huaxing, a packaging factory.
Jingdian originally planned to add 20 MOCVD machines in the first half of 2010, and another 10 additional units, indicating that the LED industry demand has not subsided.
Everlight also began to ship SMD-type LEDs for LED-backlit TVs in January. Ye Weifu, chairman of Everlight, also pointed out that Q1 is not weak in the light quarter, and revenue in January will be better than December.
In January, the consolidated revenue was NT$466 million, a substantial increase of 198.22% from the 156 million yuan in the same period of 2009. This was mainly due to the capacity of Samsung Pack, a lead frame, and shipments began in January. In order to support Samsung's demand, we will expand and expand the 2,000-pyeong factory and expect to join the operation in February. The monthly production capacity of the SMD lead frame has been increased from 800 million to 1 billion. After the completion of the new plant, the production capacity of the lead frame can be increased by another 50% to reach 1.5 billion pieces per month.
Huaxing has received a long-term order for low-temperature lighting from US freezers Hussmann and Coca-Cola Mexico, and has shipped in large quantities since January, making Huaxing's January revenues likely to hit a new monthly high. (Edit: Looking up at the stars)
