Japanese factory Sony purchases Taiwan factory AUO, Chi Mei electric LED backlight panel

Taiwan's AUO (2409) and Chimei Electric (3481) LED-backlit LCD TV panels have been heavily purchased by Sony.

At present, AUO has 11 LED backlight panels, and there are 8 CMOs. These LED panels will enter mass production in the second half of the year to meet the 2010 Q4 market demand.

Sony plans to ship 25 million LCD TVs in 2010, of which 15 will be available, and LED TVs will account for two-thirds. It can be said that the demand for LED panels is very large.

Due to Sony's investment in the Sharp ten-generation factory, the supply of LED TV panels for Sony's demand in the first half of 2010 was insufficient, which led Sony to switch to Taiwan's LED panels. Sony will also become a favorable seaport for AUO and Chi Mei's LED panels.
