The new plant will help Michelin continue to expand its North American market and gain a leading edge. The plant is the 21st factory in North America and the 69th factory in the world (including the Queretaro factory, which has been operating since 1987). Michelin North America has revealed that in order to support its sustainable development strategy since 2011, Michelin has accumulatively invested over US$3.1 billion in North America.

In addition to Michelin, Goodyear announced in April last year that it intends to invest up to 550 million U.S. dollars to build a car light truck tire manufacturing plant near San Luis Potosí in Mexico. Under full load, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 6 million and more than 1,000 employees. name.

In addition, Pirelli also disclosed in April this year that it is committed to investing 200 million U.S. dollars in the next 18 months to expand production of the Mexican Silau tire factory that has been in operation for four years.
