The scope of application of motorcycle headlamp lighting standards
GB5948 stipulates the light distribution performance, test method, inspection rules and light color requirements of the headlamp assembly, and is applicable to various types of headlights used in motorcycles. The product type calibration of motorcycle headlamps and the inspection of the headlamp batch products shall be carried out in accordance with the test methods specified in the standard. Since there is no corresponding national standard for headlamp bulbs in China, the GB5948 also recommends the bulbs used for semi-enclosed headlamps so that the components of the headlamp assembly meet the requirements of the standard.
Before carrying out the test of the motorcycle headlights, it should first be clear whether the headlights are stereotyped products or batch products, and tested according to the inspection rules of the corresponding test methods.
Research on voltage in light distribution test
According to the relevant regulations, when testing semi-closed headlamps, it is necessary to base the light distribution of the bulbs and correct the results. The scientific setting voltage is the rated voltage of the enclosed headlamps. Therefore, during the light distribution test, it is necessary to reasonably adjust the test voltage to the voltage value in the state of the light distribution flux.
Before the approval of the headlamps, the reference luminous flux of the S-type standard bulbs should be adjusted to the appropriate position according to the relevant regulations promulgated by the state, and then the illumination of the headlamps should be tested. There is only one type of rated voltage for a standard lamp, and the relevant regulations indicate that the photometric performance of both the standard lamp and the photometric headlamp needs to be consistent.
China's ECE57 regulations are mainly for the approval of headlamp components, and its restrictions on S-type bulbs are not very large. In addition, the regulation also states that its specified headlamp product conformity inspection mainly refers to the inspection of manufacturing tolerances such as the specific installation location of the bulb, the lens and the reflector in the headlight, and the bulb manufacturing. The effects of tolerance and its photometric performance are not included. Therefore, in the process of conformance inspection of the headlamp products, in order to avoid the influence of the headlight distribution on the manufacturing tolerances of the bulb and the photometric characteristics of the bulb, it is necessary to apply to the standard bulb. During the entire test, the headlamp light distribution test needs to use the standard bulb reference luminous flux as its benchmark to ensure that the results do not produce errors. If the light distribution of the headlamps is tested according to the requirements of the ECE regulations, the standard bulb is an essential item and the rated voltage of the standard bulb is required as the test voltage.
