In the first month of this month, Panasonic Electric Works launched a series of LED fluorescent lamps for office lighting, with an overall luminous efficacy of 104.6 lm/W (6800 lm, 65 W), compared to the fluorescent lamp (68.8 lm/W) launched last September. The product has increased by 52% and the power consumption has been reduced by 25%. The latter is less efficient than Panasonic using two 32W HF fluorescent tubes (85.3lm/W). Currently, the product has been used in office space.

In order to achieve high light efficiency, in addition to the selection of high-power LED chips, Matsushita Electric Works has also worked on three aspects of heat dissipation, optics and components, such as high reflectivity white resin reflectors.
There are two new LED fluorescent lamps to choose from, one for direct connection to the ceiling and the other for embedded type, both of which use 150 daylight-colored LEDs with a lifetime of 40,000 hours. The products will be available in August and the sales target for the fiscal year 2010 will be 5,000. The price is pending.
